Second Annual Spirit of Construction Scholarship Breakfast

The Spirit of Construction Foundation’s second annual Scholarship Breakfast will bring together past scholarship recipients, industry leaders, educators, and community partners to honor students taking the next step toward careers in the Greater Cincinnati construction industry.
The event will be held Wednesday, September 23, 2026, from 7:30-9 a.m. at the Kenwood Country Club, 6501 Kenwood Rd. in Cincinnati, Ohio.
The 2026 Spirit of Construction Scholarship Breakfast recognizes the ambition and determination of standout students preparing to enter one of the most essential sectors in our community. It is also a moment for attendees to come together to honor achievement, inspire the next generation, and celebrate the future of the construction workforce in our region.
2026 Scholarship Categories
Each scholarship represents a doorway opened, a barrier removed, and a future built with intention. This year, Spirit of Construction will award scholarships across multiple pathways, reflecting the diverse talent and career routes that fuel the construction profession.
Skilled Trades — Supports students pursuing hands‑on, high‑demand careers that keep our region building and thriving.
Military Scholarship — Honors veterans and service members transitioning into civilian construction careers, recognizing their discipline, leadership, and commitment.
Women in Construction — Empowers women entering construction programs, apprenticeships, and certification pathways, while strengthening representation across the industry.
Higher Education Scholarships — Awards students pursuing construction‑related degrees at:
- Miami University
- University of Cincinnati
- Northern Kentucky University
- Cincinnati State Technical and Community College
To date, the Spirit of Construction Foundation has contributed more than $788,557 in college scholarships that have helped 338 students. For 2026, we are awarding 56 scholarships totaling $117,800.
What Should You Wear?
Spirit encourages attendees to show their pride by wearing college spirit wear or military branch apparel. It’s a fun way to highlight the diverse backgrounds and pathways represented in the room.
