Jay Meyers

Dugan & Meyers Construction

As a second generation leader of a firm nearing its 75th anniversary, Jay Meyers has been involved with Dugan & Meyers Construction Co. from his teen years scraping concrete blocks through managing the oversight on the recently constructed Ascent project. His career progressed from doing hands-on construction work as a project engineer and project manager, interacting with heads of corporations as vice president of development covering geographical areas from Ohio to Boston to Florida. Jay was promoted to president in 1995 and to Company CEO/COO in 2008.

Many in the industry call him “Mr. Construction” because of his vigorous promotion efforts. In 2005 he received the Spirit of Construction Award for Lifetime Career Achievement. As chairman of the awards dinner he was the first to sign up 1,000 guests.

Jay is a member of the American Institute of Constructors and a past president and current board member of Allied Construction Industries. He is also a past vice president and membership committee secretary for Associated General Contractors of Ohio.

A Cincinnati native, he holds a degree in civil engineering and construction technology from the University of Cincinnati. He enjoys spending time with his family and working on his farm in Indiana.
