Spirit of Construction Foundation will honor distinguished
members of local construction industries at a black-tie
dinner on Saturday, October 18, 2008. The honorees—living
individuals who will be inducted into the Construction
Hall of Fame—will be announced in May.
This
Celebration of Construction event is the foundation’s
13th annual awards banquet. The black-tie dinner, chaired
by Larry Rayburn, Chairman of the Richard Goettle,
Inc. company, will be at the Northern Kentucky Convention
Center in Covington. More than 1,000 people are expected
to attend. Former Miss America Heather French Henry
will return as emcee. The cocktail reception will begin
at 6 p.m. and dinner at 7:15 p.m.; the program to follow.
According to SOC board president Jack Scott, the mission
of the foundation is “to recognize and celebrate
the construction industry and its many contributions
to the civic, aesthetic, and economic well-being of
the Greater Cincinnati region.” The annual Celebration
of Construction banquet is one of foundation’s
most visible activities.
